New ‘Germany Pass’ from £204
Explore the whole of Germany this summer with the new ‘Germany Pass’ from £204
Deutsche Bahn has a special offer for all of those who like to travel frequently during the holidays. The ‘Germany Youth Pass’ is valid for youngsters up to and including the age of 26 at the price of £204. The regular ‘Germany Pass’ for adults above the age of 26 costs £245. Both these tickets enable travellers to discover all routes right the way through the country.
These passes are valid between 01 July 2008 and 31 August 2008 and can be used for a month within this time period.
“The holidays can now begin. With the Germany Rail Pass we are offering flexible travel on our trains for a whole month.” states Nicholas Breuel, the Chairman of DB Passenger Services.
Both the ‘Germany Pass’ and the ‘Germany Youth Pass’ are only valid for a single person with proof of identity or a passport.
These passes can be bought by calling the DB UK Booking Centre, booking online at www.bahn.de, at DB ticket machines in Germany, in DB Travel Centres, or through DB Agents.
These tickets are on sale from 1 July 2008. All travellers who want to travel during the night can book the ICE Sprinter or a seated coach, couchette, economy sleeper, or deluxe sleeper for the City Night Line Service at an additional charge.

Deutsche Bahn has a special offer for families during the holidays. With the ‘Germany Special’ family ticket, two people can travel within Germany from £44. (First Class ticket price is £68) up until 15th August 2008. For five people, it is possible to book a train journey for £94. Children under 15 can travel with their family free of charge. These tickets can be purchased by calling the DB UK Booking Centre.

Elvis in Germany!
Elvis fans have a new travel destination this summer. The Deutsche Bahn Museum in Nürnberg is holding a special exhibition for the biggest rock and roll star. DB Museum is holding this 500 square metre multimedia exhibition for two months.
One can not only observe photos of Elvis in Germany during his journeys on the US Military trains in Germany but also observe his personal possessions at the time. The basic idea of this exhibition is to please Elvis fans around the world.

- The exhibition lasts until 31 August 2008. It is called ‘Love me tender - Elvis auf der Eisenbahn‘ and is taking place at the DB Museum, Lessingstraße, Nürnberg.

Travellers enjoy French cuisine on board
This summer, passengers on the ICE trains have the opportunity to experience exquisite French cuisine in the bistros on board. The classy recipes shall be created by a star chef from Paris named Eric Fréchon. ‘It is important for us to have the best European head chefs on our trains in order to provide quality service’ states Tanja Schlesinger, Manager of the on-board catering services.
The idea of serving a variety of international cuisines on ICE trains started in February 2008 and will continue up until January 2009.
