The BahnCard

There are three versions of the BahnCard, Germany’s network card, which are valid for one year on national DB routes (excluding DB Autozug).

BahnCard 25
The BahnCard 25 is worth purchasing if passengers spend more than 200 EUR a year on rail travel (in second class). The BahnCard 25 costs 57 EUR for a second-class ticket and 114 EUR for first class.
BahnCard 50
The BahnCard 50 is offered at half price to certain groups including children, students below the age of 27 and senior citizens over 60. The BahnCard 50 costs 225 EUR for a second class ticket or 450 EUR for first class. The BahnCard 50 cannot be used together with SparPrice offers.
BahnCard 100
The Mobility BahnCard 100 costs 3650 EUR for a second class ticket and 6150 EUR for first class. This flat fee allows you to travel for free on all DB-trains for 12 months from the date of issue.
City-Ticket for BahnCard holders
BahnCard holders are also eligible for the ‘City-Ticket’ available currently for more than 100 participating cities across Germany. Passengers are able to use local transport to and from the railway station at no extra cost, on condition that they are travelling on a long-distance train over a distance of at least 100 km.
