Eurostar to Germany via Brussels or Paris
The train is a convenient alternative for travel from Britain to Germany. Cologne, for example, is just 4¾ hours away from London. As the trains leave from and arrive in the city centres, time is saved on unnecessary journeys between the airport and the city, and long check-in times.
London – Cologne Special from £79!
Visitors from the UK can reach Aachen in under 4 hours and Cologne in 4¾ hours from London St Pancras. Some trains also stop at Ebbsfleet International. Eurostar and City Night Line*
One other comfortable and time-saving option for reaching the continent is to take the Eurostar in combination with Deutsche Bahn's City Night Line from London or Ebbsfleet to several destinations within Germany.
- London – Berlin: Departing London at 7:34 pm, with a change in Brussels at 11:41 pm, the train pulls into Berlin at 8:04 am the next day. Other stops for this night train are Bielefeld Hbf, Hanover Hbf and Wolfsburg. The fare for a 2nd class seat on the Eurostar and a couchette on the night train to Berlin starts from just £75.
- London – Hamburg: The best connection from London is at 7:34 pm, with a change in Brussels where the night train departs at 11:41 pm. The train arrives in Hamburg at 6:52 am. On its way, the train also stops at Bremen and Osnabrück. Single fares to Hamburg start from as little as £72 for a 2nd class seat on the Eurostar and a seat on the night train.
- London – Munich: The Eurostar departs from London St Pancras at 6.00 pm to arrive in Paris Nord at 9.20 pm. It is a 10-minute walk to Paris Est where the City Night Line leaves at 10.45 pm to arrive in Munich the following morning at 8.59 am. This service also stops, for example, in Stuttgart, Ulm and Augsburg. A one-way fare starts from £74 for a seat on both trains.
