Berlin by train
A comfortable and time-saving alternative to flying into Berlin is taking the Eurostar in combination with Deutsche Bahn’s night train, City Night Line.

The Eurostar departs from London St Pancras around 7 pm to arrive two hours later in Brussels, where the night train departs and pulls into Berlin at around 8 am the next day.
Other stops for this night train are Bielefeld Hbf, Hanover Hbf and Wolfsburg. Fares for seats on both trains start from £70 per person or £75 for a 2nd class seat on the Eurostar and a couchette on the night train to Berlin.
Travel by daytime trains to Berlin is also a possibility and can easily be combined with a stopover in Cologne. From London it takes a little over 5 hours to reach the centre of Cologne and 4½ hours from Cologne to Berlin by ICE. Return fares start from £145 per person.
