Berlin, Berlin wir fahren nach Berlin

This was the motto of enthusiastic football fans from near and far, announcing their participation in the finale of the FIFA World Cup 2006 in Berlin.
A euphoric slogan that now incites guests from all over the world, far beyond football, to a trip to the creative, dynamic and historically rich cultural metropolis that is Berlin.
Berlin simply has it all!

Where to go – places of interest in the state of Brandenburg

Visit Potsdam, the regional capital of Brandenburg. In 1997, Potsdam’s cultural landscape with Sanssouci Castle and Park, was declared part of the world's cultural heritage by UNESCO. The Sanssouci summer residence is one of Europe’s most extensive park areas – with picturesque fountains and vineyard terraces.
Potsdam is also known for the Babelsberg Film Park where visitors can take a look behind the scenes of national and international productions, and the Potsdam Film Museum. If you are interested in technical monuments, do not miss the Einsteinturm, a tower which is situated on Telegrafenberg. The Einsteinturm is a Bauhaus building designed by the architect Erich Mendelsohn.

Berlin – Lübbenau (Spreewald): 1h 12min
Lübbenau is said to be the secret capital of the Spreewald, a biosphere reserve with 970 km of waterways. This forest area is a labyrinth of rivers and streams that can best be explored in a punt, which visitors can rent at the punt terminal right in the centre of the town.
Lübbenau dates back to the 9th century and offers – apart from the beautiful water landscape – further sights to visit, such as Lübbenau Castle or the historic Lübbenau market square. Furthermore, the Spreewald is famous for its Spreewaldgurken (pickled gherkins).

Berlin-Spandau – Neuruppin West: 1h 14min
Neuruppin is an idyllic little town situated next to Brandenburg’s longest lake, the Ruppiner See. On their walk through the town, visitors discover traces of one of Neuruppin’s most famous inhabitants, the author Theodor Fontane. In the Fontane Centre in the old grammar school at Schulplatz, there is an extensive exhibition on Fontane, whose monument is a popular place for taking pictures. With a height of 17 metres, the Parzival steel sculpture is another impressive monument.
It is situated on the riverside promenade. From there, visitors can take a boat to Boltenmühle, which is the heart of the Ruppiner Schweiz (Ruppin Switzerland).
