There are bicycles for hire at approx. 160 stations. You may take your bike with you on all local trains and many IC/EC trains.

At most railway stations, there are several opportunities to have a snack or enjoy a good meal and purchase whatever you need for your trip from a variety of different restaurants, cafes and small shops.

Coach Location/Train Formation Indicator
If you are traveling on long-distance trains, the large display cases on the platform indicate the position of each individual coach of the train on a platform section. For this reason platforms are divided into sections A to E.

Hotels - IC Hotels
These hotels which are reasonably priced and very comfortable, can be found in many cities in the immediate vicinity of the station and are convenient for all forms of transport, which you can use free of charge just by showing your pass. For business travelers, the hotels offer fully equipped conference rooms.
Luggage Cart
An easy way to get your suitcases to and from the train is to use a luggage cart, which you can borrow for a deposit of 0.50 EUR or 1 EUR at any station.
Left Luggage Lockers
If you stop somewhere briefly en route and to not want to take your luggage with you, you can conveniently and safely leave it in a left-luggage locker.
Parking
Most larger stations offer inexpensive daytime parking facilities for DB passengers. Reduced parking rates are available upon presentation of your rail ticket.
Porters
Porters are available to carry your luggage and help you board the train at various main stations. You will recognize them by their blue aprons and red caps. They may also approach you to offer help. The attendants on the train may also take bookings for this service during your journey.
Rail & Road - Car Rental
Rental cars are available at stations in all major towns through the "Rail & Road" scheme, a cooperation between Deutsche Bahn and AVIS, Europcar, Hertz and SIXT.
Restaurants - IC Restaurant
This restaurant, which is located within the stations offers good food and a pleasant atmosphere in which to meet friends and business associates.
ServicePoint
The ServicePoint is the focal point at some 90 main stations. From early in the morning to late at night information is available on rail travel, on local and long-distance train timetables and other forms of public transport, and regarding accommodation and the surrounding areas.
ServicePoints are also meeting points and a poste restante. You can leave letters there, have consignments delivered by courier or have your faxes sent. If you are not satisfied with us, then this is your first point of contact.
