Intercity and Eurocity (IC/EC)  

The well proven IC train is travelling in hourly or 2-hourly intervals between many bigger cities or touristic regions at speed up to 200 km/h. Trains with the same internationally stipulated quality standards as the IC, linking Germany with big cities of European neighbouring countries are the Eurocity trains.

Almost all Intercity or Eurocity trains have a Boardrestaurant and/or a Boardbistro. The Intercity trains of Deutsche Bahn have been meanwhile updated. There you will find electricity outlets in the first class compartements and at the table seats of the centre aisle coaches of both coach classes. The Eurocity trains consist partly of waggons of neighbouring train companies and may vary in terms of equipment.
